Introduction to Disaster Services   American Red Cross Online Course:  Introduction to Disaster Services is a free online course consisting of three separate learning modules that will introduce learners to American Red Cross Disaster Services and allow them to discover how volunteers support this critical mission and to explore ways they can become involved in their local chapter.  This online course takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division (HSEMD) will facilitate a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) sponsored Planning Workshop.  The target audience for this workshop is planning professionals engaged in writing or updating local hazard mitigation plans.  The workshops will be held in four locations throughout the state of Iowa during the week of March 22 - 25, 2010 from 9:00 - 3:00 p.m.  There is no cost to attend but travel, food and lodging will be the responsibility of the participant. There will not be a formal lunch break, therefore bring your own lunch and drink
